Receta: Peach, Brie, and Prosciutto Bites with Chile de Árbol + Tamarind Hot Sauce
These sweet and savoury bites are a perfect balance of flavours, with juicy peaches, creamy brie, crispy prosciutto, and the bold heat of our Chile de Árbol + Tamarind Hot Sauce. They’re quick to prepare and ideal for an appetizer or snack, especially if you have access to a wood-fired pizza oven!
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe peaches, halved, pitted, and cut into 8 wedges each
- 200g brie cheese, cut into small slices
- 16 slices of prosciutto, halved lengthwise
- 2–3 tbsp Chile de Árbol + Tamarind Hot Sauce
- Olive oil (optional)
Instructions:
- Prep the Peaches: Cut each peach half into 4 wedges (8 wedges per peach). Brush each peach wedge lightly with Chile de Árbol + Tamarind Hot Sauce.
- Assemble: Place a small slice of brie on each peach wedge. Wrap each wedge with a halved slice of prosciutto, securing the brie in place. Brush the assembled bites with another layer of the hot sauce.
- Cook: Arrange the wrapped peach wedges in a cast iron skillet. Place the skillet in a wood-fired pizza oven (or a regular oven preheated to 400°F) and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the prosciutto is crispy and the brie is melted.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately. These bites are delicious on their own or paired with fresh greens for a light salad.
Tips:
- If you don’t have a wood-fired pizza oven, a regular oven works just as well.
- Feel free to add a drizzle of olive oil before cooking for an extra layer of flavour.
